SUMMER 2026-SPRING 2027

Our Competitive All Star Tumbling Program is designed for athletes who want to build strong technique, progress through all star-based tumbling skills, and compete in a fun, challenging environment. Athletes are grouped by age division and skill level for the best possible progression, with expert coaching and a clear pathway for growth throughout the season.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

  • Season: 2026–2027

  • Season Start: Summer 2026 beginning June 1, 2026

  • Enrollment: Open year-round if spots are available

  • Training Schedule: 2 classes per week, 1 hour each

  • Class Grouping: By age division and skill level

  • Competition Requirement: Competitions are required for enrolled athletes

  • Withdrawal Policy: 30-day notice required to cancel

  • Who Can Join: Girls and boys ages 4 and up!
    You do not have to be on a cheer team to participate

AGE DIVISIONS

  • Tiny: Birth Years 2020–2022

  • Mini: Birth Years 2017–2019

  • Youth: Birth Years 2014–2016

  • Junior/Senior: Birth Years 2007–2013

Classes are grouped by both age division and skill level to create the best training environment for each athlete.

TUMBLING SKILL LEVELS

  • Beginner Level 1
    Minimum Tumbling Skill: Cartwheel
    Maximum Tumbling Skill: Backbend Kickover

     

  • Advanced Level 1
    Minimum Tumbling Skill: Back Walkover
    Maximum Tumbling Skill: Back Handspring

     

  • Beginner Level 2
    Minimum Tumbling Skill: Perfected Standing & Running Back Handspring
    Maximum Tumbling Skill: Back Walkover Back Handspring or Back Handspring Step Out and Round Off Two Back Handsprings

     

  • Advanced Level 2
    Minimum Tumbling Skill: Round Off Two Back Handsprings and Back Handspring Step Out or Back Walkover Back Handspring
    Maximum Tumbling Skill: Running Round Off 3 Back Handsprings (Perfected)

     

  • Level 3
    Minimum Tumbling Skill: Perfected Standing Back Walkover Back Handspring and Running 3 Back Handsprings
    Maximum Tumbling Skill: Running Round Off 3 Back Handsprings to Tuck & Standing 3 Back Handsprings

     

  • Level 4
    Minimum Tumbling Skill: Running Round Off 3 Back Handsprings to Tuck & Standing 3 Back Handsprings
    Maximum Tumbling Skill: Running Round Off Back Handspring Layout & Standing 2 Back Handsprings Back Tuck

     

  • Level 5
    Minimum Tumbling Skill: Running Round Off Back Handspring Layout & Standing 2 Back Handsprings Back Tuck
    Maximum Tumbling Skill: No Maximum Tumbling Skill

Athletes can move up or down levels throughout the season based on progress and coach evaluation.

COMPETITIONS

Competitive All Star Tumbling athletes compete twice per year in our in-gym tumbling competitions.
 

Competition Schedule

  • TexStar Winter Tumble Off — November/December

  • TexStar Spring Tumble Off — April/May
     

Competition Fee

  • $20 registration fee per competition
     

Competition Format

  • 1 Standing Pass

  • 1 Running Pass

  • 1 Jump Combo (3 jumps)
     

Awards

  • Medals for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each category and level

  • Level winners receive a trophy

  • Overall winners receive a banner and T-shirt
     

Important Note: Competitions are a required part of the Competitive All Star Tumbling program.

TUITION AND ENROLLMENT

  • Monthly Tuition: $210/month

  • Annual Registration Fee: $50

  • Open enrollment year-round if spots are available

  • A 30-day notice is required for withdrawal

  • Athletes must be able to attend 2 times per week to participate in this program

  • If an athlete cannot attend 2x per week, they should enroll in a recreational or tots class instead

    Additional Policy Note: Once class days and times are confirmed, those spots are held for your athlete until a 30-day notice is submitted online.

Q: Does my child have to be on a cheer team to join?
No. This program is open to athletes even if they are not on a TexStar cheer team.

 

Q: If my child is trying out for or joining an All Star Cheer team, should I complete this form?
No. If your athlete is trying out for or joining an All Star Cheer team at TexStar, please do not complete this form. A separate form will be sent for cheer athletes.

Q: When does the 2026–2027 season start?
The season begins June 1, 2026.

 

Q: Can athletes join after the season starts?
Yes. Athletes may join at any time if spots are available.

 

Q: How often do athletes train?
Athletes train 2 times per week for 1 hour each class.

 

Q: Are competitions optional?
No. Competitions are required for athletes enrolled in Competitive All Star Tumbling.
