TUMBLING & TRAMPOLINE TEAM
SUMMER 2026-SPRING 2027
A specialized, in-house program focused on power tumbling and trampoline, designed for athletes who want to grow their skills in a structured, high-energy team environment without the commitment of travel.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The TexStar Tumbling & Trampoline Team is a specialized training program designed for athletes who want to develop their skills in both power tumbling and trampoline (T&T).
Athletes train on rod floor and trampoline, focusing on proper progressions, strength, control, air awareness, and technique specific to the sport.
This program practices twice per week and includes fun, themed in-house meets hosted at TexStar, giving athletes the opportunity to perform, gain experience, and build confidence—all in a supportive team environment.
This is a full-season commitment (June–May) and is separate from our All Star Cheer and All Star Tumbling programs.

PROGRAM FAQ
I thought TexStar stopped offering power tumbling—what changed?
Great question! We did step away from offering a travel power tumbling program in order to focus on the growth of our cheer program.
However, we’ve had a lot of families who love TexStar but aren’t interested in going the cheer route, and we want to make sure there is a place for those athletes in our facility as well.
Because we already have the equipment and space, we are now offering a small, in-house Tumbling & Trampoline Team. This allows us to bring back this style of training in a more focused and manageable way, without travel requirements.
Is this the same as the old power tumbling program?
No. This is a reimagined version of our previous program.
This program:
-
Does not include travel
-
Includes in-house meets only
-
Is limited in size
-
Is designed to be more structured and intentional
Coach Dawn has designed this program to include the best elements of our previous pre-team, while allowing more flexibility without being tied to travel team guidelines.
Is this a travel team?
No. This is a fully in-house program with meets hosted at TexStar.
How is this different from All Star Tumbling?
This program focuses on power tumbling and trampoline, while All Star Tumbling is cheer-based and does not include trampoline.
Do athletes have to compete?
Yes, all athletes will participate in 4 in-house meets, which are included as part of the team experience.
Is this a full-year commitment?
Yes. The season runs from June through May.
How are classes formed?
Athletes are placed in classes based on age, skill level, and coachability after evaluations.
Are spots limited?
Yes. We are intentionally keeping this program small to ensure all athletes taught by our gym owner, Dawn, proper progressions, and individual attention for each athlete. It also allows us to run the program within our current space without impacting other programs.
Will everyone who tries out make the team?
Not necessarily. While we aim to place as many athletes as possible, this is a limited program, and placements will be based on space availability, age, skill level, and coachability.
Our goal is to create the best training environment for each athlete, so team placements are made thoughtfully to ensure proper progression and success.
If an athlete is not placed on the team, we will always recommend other programs or classes at TexStar that would be a great fit for their current level and goals.
If we pay the tryout fee and do not make the team, will we be refunded?
Yes. If an athlete is not placed on the team, the tryout fee will be refunded.
If your athlete is not selected, we will also be happy to recommend other programs or classes at TexStar that may be a great fit.
Can we join in the fall?
Our season begins in the summer, which is when athletes build foundational skills, strength, and technique. In the fall, athletes begin putting those skills into passes and preparing for meets.
Because this is a limited program, most spots will be filled at the start of the season. Once teams are set, we may not be able to accept additional athletes.
You are welcome to check with us in the fall regarding availability; however, placement is not guaranteed and depends on open spots within each group.
